From a summer engineering intern at Pearl Harbor in 1976 to a stint as ICMCI’s ambassador into China, when China opened its doors and invited professional management consulting as an industry in 2002, Gregg has been a bridge builder and a connector.  Fixing wicked problems has been his life and forte.  He’s been an Internal Consultant at American Express, an External Consultant with Coopers (aka PWC), Consulting Principal of the Management Think Tank at the University of Hong Kong, Member of the HKSAR Government Central Policy Unit, the founder of his regional consulting firm in Family Business Governance and lastly headed up the Global Enterprise Risk Management and Corporate Governance Practice at Aon.  Gregg has never turned down any 1,500-plus wicked challenges his clients wanted resolution. What he couldn’t solve alone, he would invite other professionals from ICMCI, IBM, the World Bank, Protiviti, Citibank, and IMC members to join forces.  Educated as a systems engineer and governance architect, Gregg has had over four decades of professional consulting experience helping disparate parties find common grounds for mutual gains, navigate hyper-growth, and install resilient governance architectures.

Time permitting, he has shared his know-how as an Adjunct and Visiting professor at local and overseas universities, including the inquisitive ones at universities in Beijing, Bombay, Chicago, Clayton, Haidian, Helsinki, Hong hum, Manoa, Palo Alto, Shatin, and Yangpu.  He has enjoyed sharing and researching esoteric subjects like International Corporate Governance, Systems Engineering, Family Business Governance, and Space Entrepreneurship.  He has been proud to claim that scores of his students and mentees are now partners at leading consulting firms, global heads at MNCs and family business empires, and founders of disruptive startups (none is in jail so far).  They have been co-travellers on his journey of discovery, and many are now changing the world for the better.   Many have joined him hitchhiking the galaxy at the Orion Astropreneur Space Academy he founded in Hong Kong, where he is also a voluntary researcher and Ambassador at the Laboratory for Space Research at HKU.

Gregg is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis (BA), HKU (MPhil), UCLA (MBA), Hawaii (MA), and Warwick University in the UK (Eng. D); and looking to graduate as a Space Global Mentor before 2030.  As an “Astropreneur” and a Comprador of NewSpace, he is now connecting entrepreneurs, governments, universities, engineers, and venture capitalists to prepare their livelihood for the arrival of the NewSpace and Digital economy.

Dr. Bidushi Bhattacharya is a former NASA scientist-turned-astropreneur with three decades' experience in spacecraft development, NewSpace startup growth, higher education and scientific research.

She is founder and CEO of AstroHub, a global company dedicated to ecosystem growth through advisory services for companies looking to build their presence in the space sector. Dr. Bhattacharya is committed to workforce development and has taught executive courses in global space leadership at Thunderbird Global School of Management at Arizona State University. She has also worked with schools and universities worldwide to send student experiments to the International Space Station. Dr. Bhattacharya has spoken at TedX and other global events to thousands of space enthusiasts and implemented international visits for NASA astronauts.

Dr. Bhattacharya holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in space physics from UCLA, where she currently serves on the UCLA Space Institute Advisory Board. She holds an MGM from Thunderbird as well as dual degrees from Rutgers University, a B.S. in mechanical engineering and a B.A. in physics.

Prof. Quentin A Parker, PhD, BSc (hons), FRAS, FASA

Prof. Parker, PhD, University of St. Andrews, 1986, joined the University of Hong Kong in 2015 as Head of  Physics. In 2017, he became Associate Dean (Global) of the Faculty of Science and Director of the Laboratory for Space Research (see https://www.lsr.hku.hk/).

Prior he worked at the Royal Observatory Edinburgh (1986-1992), Anglo-Australian observatory (1992-1999), University of Edinburgh (1999-2002) and then with the AAO and Macquarie University (2002-2015) where he developed and was director of the MQ research centre in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Astrophotonics growing it from 2 staff when he arrived to 50 when he left. Research activities are mainly with Wide Field Astronomy (including as PI of the UKST H-alpha survey), redshift surveys, Galactic Archaeology and especially Planetary Nebulae (PNe), where he has discovered more than anyone in history. He also has extensive experience as an instrumentalist with multi-object fibre-optic spectrographs and narrow-band filters.

He has published  599 papers and articles, of which ~300 are refereed, and has more than 24,000 citations with a h-index of 71. He has supervised and co-supervised about 30 PhD, MSc/MPhil and honours students to successful completion and is always keen to attract students. Quentin also has a long-term interest in Chinese Bronze artifacts and cultural heritage, interdisciplinary studies and science pedagogy and is a regular opinion contributor to the South China Morning Post and China Daily.

Cross-border transactions are becoming more complex and time-intensive. Ray is well-equipped, knowledgeable, and resourceful to lead and assist clients navigating transactions in an efficient and effective manner. Ray has spent more than 25 years working in China, the US, the UK, Europe and Canada on a wide range of cross-border transactions and other corporate matters. Ray has significant experience in corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, general corporate and commercial matters, corporate strategies, IPOs, regulatory compliance, and public takeovers. Many of his clients appreciate his personal, pragmatic approach to solving their problems, as well as his strong business acumen.

Ray has also advised on offerings and listings on the London, New York, Luxembourg, Irish, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo Stock Exchanges, many of which represent milestone transactions. He is also an accredited general mediator of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and the Law Society of Hong Kong.

Ray has an electrical & electronics engineering degree from Imperial College, and closely follows the technological advances and the latest developments in law.  This includes the study and application of laws relating to AI, fintech, cryptocurrency, PPP, and the "Belt and Road Initiative," etc. He takes full advantage of Seyfarth's global platform and works closely with Seyfarth's US and international offices, and as a result is able to offer his clients a full range of expertise.

David Hoantee Peng is a seasoned global executive and advisor bridging the worlds of finance and the rapidly emerging space economy. With over 38 years of leadership in asset management, investment strategy, and financial services across Asia-Pacific, David has built and led businesses for renowned institutions including BlackRock, Merrill Lynch, Legal & General, AXA, Aberdeen, Bank of China, and Aetna. His career has spanned China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia, with a deep track record in regulatory engagement, cross-border joint ventures, and organisational growth. 

Now leveraging his financial acumen in the space sector, David serves as President & Senior Advisor at BluFin Advisory (specialising in space and deep tech finance). He also serves as Executive Vice Chair and Board Director at the Space Economy Association (SEA), and is Chief Strategy Officer at AstroHub, a commercial space consultancy company. David acts as advisor to aerospace and digital transformation ventures across Asia. A graduate with distinction from Thunderbird School of Global Management’s Executive Master’s in Space Leadership, Business & Policy, he brings a strategic vision to scaling the commercial space ecosystem with financial discipline and international insight. 

Fluent in English and Mandarin, with working knowledge of several other languages, David is widely recognised for his cross-cultural leadership, global networks, and belief in “Space for All Mankind.” He continues to advise startups, institutional investors, and educational institutions on the intersection of capital, innovation, and sustainable development in both traditional and space-related sectors.
